NEW Updates:

YEARBOOK SALES: Yearbooks are in!   $20 cash or check (payable to DMS).  Please see the Front Office or Mr. Palmer.  First come, first serve!

ENERGY DRINKS: We’ve noticed an uptick in students drinking energy drinks during school hours. Please refrain from letting your child bring energy drinks to school.

LUNCHROOM REMINDERS:   As we near the end of the year, please remind your student about appropriate lunchroom behavior.  Over the past few weeks, we have had quite a few incidents of students leaving garbage on tables, smashing food onto surfaces, throwing food, excessive shouting/noise making, and other behavior not appropriate during mealtime.  We appreciate your help and support.

LUNCH BALANCES:   Please make sure to check your student’s lunch balance.  If you want a reminder email when your student has a negative balance, you must opt into that email through campus, otherwise you will not be notified your account is deficient.  We appreciate your attention to this matter.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL:   Students are asked to not arrive at school before 7:30 am unless attending an activity/event with a staff member.  At the end of the day, all students not in an organized practice are expected to leave the campus by 3:30 pm.  This helps ensure our students stay safe and supervised as we do not have supervision before 7:30 am or after 3:30 pm.

8th GRADE GRADUATION: May 21st at 1:00 in the DMS gym. Families and guests are welcome to this event.

Our Native American students are invited to wear any of their cultural regalia to graduation. This includes displaying a star quilt or blanket as well. Students are also welcome to wear feathers or plumes as appropriate.

Although the MS will not be offering a feather tying ceremony for 8th graduates this year, we are proud to honor our Native American students' culture, as well as any other culture represented by our students at graduation.
