Beginning Wednesday, February 16 free take-home COVID-19 rapid test kits will be available to any DSD staff member, parent or guardian who would like one. It is recommended that DSD parents or guardians pick up tests at their child's school office as needed, with a start of two tests per household. If more tests are needed, please speak to the school secretary. Tests can be picked up in the school office anytime during school business hours.
Individuals do not need to report their at-home test results; however, out of concern for others, please continue to notify the school if your child tests positive for COVID-19, Flu, or any other illness which may be passed to others. The tests are available to help DSD staff and families make informed decisions about their health for school, work, social events, and travel. Those who need a validated result or a letter for official purposes should seek testing from a health care provider or from a local public health testing site.
