The District's COVID-19 numbers have increased quickly this week. The total case count now exceeds the 1.5 percent threshold established in the District's Board approved Back to School Plan. As a result, DSD will be switching to Phase 2 beginning Tuesday, January 18. In Phase 2, masks are required in all DSD buildings, buses and indoor extra-curricular activities. As in the past, we are asking everyone to provide their own masks. Tomorrow, Friday, January 14 students are encouraged, but not required, to mask. Again, beginning next week, masking will be required. DSD administrators will continue to closely monitor our COVID-19 data and re-evaluate our phase status in two weeks.
